With the great information poster have on the single player forum, whey we don't create some search program-with database about warcraft, and save ourselvesves such threads????

Or, he could just, you know, click the "Search" button at the top of every forum. Or actually do a bit of research on his own before coming here and asking to be spoon-fed.

cold welcomes R' us!
as to your questions, the ones you mentioned haven't had much happen to them yet. Kael is in outland, the demonlords are... demonicly lording, and noone knows about the forgotten and faceless.

Don't sweat it. THe blood elves and naga retreated to outland with Illidan (who is still alive). The demons and undead are still all over, but the demons are seperated from their superiors and disorganized or working with the undead. The Forsaken are in control of Lordearon, while the scourge holds Northrend.

Apologies, Destroyer. I was in a particularly nasty mood when I typed that, due to many reasons which were almost exclusively my own fault; still, I had no right to take out my self-directed anger on you.
In addition to what my comrades have already said, we know virtually nothing about the Faceless and Forgotten Ones; since WoW has yet to reach Northrend, and none of the other sources have touched on them, we can only speculate. Popular theory holds that they are somehow connected to the Old Gods.

man, im so impressed with this game. I was always all about Command & conquer and counter strike, but this game especially the storyline in this game blows every other game away. I could really get into this Heros thing. :y-thumbsu

You mean the warcraft III storyline or all warcraft?
Comparing C&C and Counterstrike to Warcraft is like... comparing Ragnarok Online and Gunbound to World of Warcraft... this first two don't even come close to the standards of Blizzard games...
...says the Blizzard fanboy...

both. I was never a blizzard fan. I never got too much into Starcraft. I mean the terrain campaign was fun, but I really hated the zerg. and that led me away from the game, and yunn I wouldnt say C&C is bad. C&C games are probably almost as good as warcraft 3. I still love Red Alert.

I liked the Command and Conquer games, except I couldn't cheat which pisses me off when I just want to breeze through and win everything.

That I'm not sure, but I think they are both the same. Just as Tichondrius and Mannoroth.
I just tend to hate all things Westwood, esp C&C series... I don't even remember why anymore... it was fun when I played the first C&C I think, and RA was quite OK... I'm just a Blizzard fanboy... so my opinions are biased

I have read on a file on wc3 cd that kildjeen is the lord of the burning legion while archimond is just a general/commander
WarDragon

Technically, before Sargeras' defeat, they were equal, with separate duties. Kil'Jaeden was in charge of corrupting new worlds, bringing servant races into the fold, and softening future victims up, whereas Archimonde led the actual invasions; Tichondrius and Mannoroth were their respective Lieutenants (the Dreadlords were "on loan" to Archimonde, so to speak). Since the Dark Titan was sealed away, Kil'Jaeden took more and more control over the Legion as a whole; now that Archi is rather permanantly out of the picture, Kil has the Legion to himself, and is acknowledged as the heir of Sargeras.

ah i see, so the legion was never defeated, it just had a shift in power.
Darktyl
01-03-05, 10:36 PM
Ahh, but they had been defeated for atleast 3 times.
However, since we are talking about demons, they probably didn't think of them as defeat, more like a minor set back, :g laugh:

Three times? How, praytell, do you figure that?

I didn't say 3 times; I said "at least 3".
Let see,
first time: war of the ancient - NE vs BL
second time: Aewynn vs Sageras
third time: the mortal races of Azeroth vs Archimonde...
For all I know, they could have beed defeated by other planet before they reach Azeroth.

Sargeras wasn't destroied in that occasion...he left him self to be killed...
WarDragon

I deliberately avoided using the word "Destroyed," T.O. Neither do I believe he threw the fight; he underestimated Aegwynn, came into Azeroth with only a fraction of his true power, and got royally whomped. He also had a contingency plan that saved his butt; ie., possessing Medivh.

I know that, but it was still a defeat for the BL. Intent or not, it is still a battle lost.

maybe his brain rusted
Kingcrazygenius
03-03-05, 12:38 PM
If he was made of iron that would be a possibility, but he has bronze skin or something. And that was before; when he became lord of the legion he was all firey and crap.
quetzalcoatl5
03-03-05, 01:02 PM
So maybe his brain remained metal and the fire warped it.
Kingcrazygenius
03-03-05, 03:20 PM
Incase you didn't notice Sargaras was insane, not stupid. The fires were a physical manifestation of his rage and hatred and all that. You saying his brain could have warped is like expecting the human torch to burn himself.
quetzalcoatl5
04-03-05, 02:37 AM
Not at all. The fire was a manifestation of his natural power over loading. Its like when characters with energy powers max out and explode and then are the worse for wear for it.
Nephalim
04-03-05, 11:00 AM
That doesn't make a whole lot of sense, because there was no increase in power between good Sargeras and bad Sargeras. He was just as powerful when he was in the Pantheon.
The fires are a product of his new philosophy in chaos. It's Sargeras letting go of all his control and discipline and letting his powers run rampant, rather than contain them all within himself. He didn't get any more power, now he's just using all he had without discretion.
