Something i dont get here, if they have an altar to bring back heroes from the dead why couldn't the alliance bring back Uther or even Antonidas?

Are you seriously asking this question? I'll humor you anyways.

The alters are just a game device and do not exist in the storyline.

Despite the thousands of vicious rumors saying otherwise I am always a nice guy.

Always may be a bit strong of a word.

No its not cause KCG always tells the truth. Some people just don't like the truth.

Maybe so, but perpetually honest and nice are rarely the same thing.

Truth from my lips is found about as often as lettuce on my burger (i.e. never). I am a ball of lies wrapped in a curtain of mysteries boxed in a steel crate of insecurities. Somewhere inside that ball of lies is the delicious candy of truth, but you'll never get to eat it because it's MINE!

But can a man who always lies say he is a liar?

Nephalim

Well, he can say it.

Kingcrazygenius

But then he would be speaking the truth. Which means he doesn't always lie. But that would make his initial statement a lie in itself. But that only works if he says he always lies.

I am so brilliant it is sexy.

The untruth of his statement doesn't automatically make true the binary opposite.

"I always lie." - This can't be true. But the untruth of this statement translates into the true statement: "I don't always lie" not "I never lie."

Don't attempt to undermine my sexy brilliance.

It's just cause there was no-one left to revive them, you have to have an altar to use it remember. In both cases, the undead masicudered everyone, leaving zero people left to revive them. This could also apply to Cenarius and most story killings in the blizzard story. And for those of you who say it isn't a story element, in the RoC human campaign, they highlight when Mal'ganus is revived.

That wasn't using the Alter as a plot device; that was just Mal'ganis not being fully killed. Alot of demons and mightier beings take more than just brute force to slay them permanently.

"masicudered"? I learn a new word every day...

That doesn't prove your point. Mal'ganis' deaths represent defeats, not actual deaths. If altars ARE canonical lore, then it means that everyone in Azeroth is just plain stupid. Altars could've saved Terenas, Lothar, Doomhammer, and a million others. Why wouldn't they just have altars around the palaces as insurance policies?

The ramafications of altars being actually around in the world of Azeroth would have to be explained, and it hasn't been, even remotely. What marks one as a "hero?" Why can't this be applied to everyone? Are people tied to specific altars or does simply being a hero mean you can be resurrected at every altar? Why weren't altars used in the previous wars?

If altars do exist, it makes no sense.

He meant his burger, not yours.
