View Full Version : Garona & Ravenholdt

For those of you who don't know, Ravenholdt Manor is a mansion in the mountains of Hillsbrad. It takes some finding to get to it. It's run by the Assassin's League, and is marked as neutral by both factions. It's got night elves, dwarves, orcs, gnomes, and humans. But most notably, was a blue-eyes orc in the lower level, named Garona.
My main character is an undead rogue (named Layla). She found the manor when she first arrived in Tarren Mill. Aside from a rogue trainer, there was nothing else to do in the Manor. No explanation of it, or Garona. She couldn't talk to her, and she wouldn't respond when Layla waved or blew kisses, etc.
Now, after bumming around Kalimdor for a while, Layla recieved a letter from Fahran, the head assassin at Ravenholdt, asking to meet with her. She did, and found Garona no longer there, but rather, now a male blood elf was where she used to be. Once again, no explanation. Layla searched the manor as thoroughly as she could, but Garona was nowhere to be found. (Keep in mind, however, that a patch has passed since her first visit)
Discuss.

How old does Garona appear first and foremost. As for her coming and going, I feel that either she simply has better things to do than talk to upstarts like Layla, or Blizzard never got around to completing her because they changed their mind about having her there, and so had her removed.

What level are you, Neph? It's possible that you don't get to learn the truth of her presence until you're in the upper strata of Azeroth's rogue-dom.

Yeah, its possible, cuz after you do the Syndicate Emblems quest(Bring around 25 emblems). Then there is nothing more to do in the manor. The guards tell you to talk to Winston/Farhad, but they have nothing to say to you(besides the fact that Farhad trains you in rogue skills). So I think we just have to wait until next patch(guildies at 53 say there is no mroe quests) for new missions and hopefully we can find out more about Garona.

Very good...
Here's a quest for the proud Alliance's players: Send her back to hell. In memory of Llane
Reward: My total gratitude

Yessssssss, send her to usssssssssssssss.
Why the hell do you add "Discuss" to the end of your post? Its like I'm reading a college level Political Science Exam.

He never answered how old she is...
I will assume she remains on the top five list of sexy individuals.

To clarify, though, my curiosity was not about what she was doing there, but rather why they took her out in the last patch.

perhaps there was a role elsewhere that, instead of creating some new character, Garona was more fit for? maybe someone at blizzard has come to his senses and thought "no! garona is worth MORE than just sitting around a hard-to-reach mansion, a greater destiny awaits her!"

I remember you reaching her, and posing for a picture... did you kill her after? PErhaps that's why she was taken out, she become a target for assassinations, like the ones on Thrall and Verimathras.

It woudl seem unlikely that blizzard would change the storyline just for that. And few people even journy there anyway, plus the level 55+ guards... hmmm.

It seemed unlikely that a band of Alliance players could storm in to Orgrimmar and kill the warchief..... Wait a minute that one's actually happened.
That and it wouldn't be the first time Blizzard's done major revisions for balance's sake. Nor changed characters. The Deathwing rumours alone convinced then to change one of the king's advisors to female.
Besides it's a good gag. Assassinate the assassin, ironic.

Plus it gave them a chance to name a character Katrina, which is always a nice name.

That was closed beta, where evyerone was lvl 60 and etc. But the point is who in the heck goes to Ravenholdt? No1.
Also the reason they formed a raid vs Thrall was because it was a faction to faction conflict, again unlike Ravenholdt.
And who above 35+ even cares to do the quests and journy to Ravenhodlt?

So what? Closed beta had LESS players. There's probably even more chance of a similar styled raid on the same scale. Why? Irony. One of many possible answers. Possible revenge for what she did. Challange. Got quite a few reasons.
And the fact that those quests exist means that a reasonable amount of demand exists for them, thus apparently a large group of players do. You do not speak for the whole playing community as a whole remember. We all have our little ways of enjoying ourselves. Questing is actually one of the more common ones might I add.
