I wonder if this will become an official entity in Warcraft.
Just recently, the WoW team make some quest to celebrate the Christmas spirit.
I wonder if this Father Winter will become official like the Pandaren....
What do you guys think?

Ummm..a Santa hero in WC III, no...in WoW year round, no. I mean they might possibly make a map with him in it but not a permanent hero. The Panderan was cool in a way even if he was meant to be a joke, so was Tinker, but a Santa. Sorry the thought just makes me shudder.

Yes, it is official. There is even Lore to back it up now via the book you get about Father Winter.
Allow me to summarize the information for those who are unable to have access to it:
Father Winter is celebrated by all of the races in Azeroth(world). However the two main races who celebrate this are the Tauren and Dwarven societies.
Tauren lore focus on the renewel of winter. When the snow falls down, it puts the ground to rest. Thus when the winter is over, the earth is revived and fresh.
They prefer not to ruin their celebration by imposing Father Winter as a diety. They rather acknowledge his prescence, but put all of their concentration on the renewl aspect of winter.
Dwarves, on the otherhand, focus more on Father Winter himself. They think he might have been a Titan, and because they think themselves as related to Titans, they put their focus on him. Whenever it snows, the dwarves take it as Father Winter's cloak resting on the earth.
Now, most other races have adopted Father Winter in their holidays. However, he has been transformed by the other races into a "santa-claus" like person. The main attraction in winter are the presents(in which the goblins gladly provide for a fee) and a time of rest.
