I felt that in RoC, and TFT that Humanity was struggling and chances were, it wouldnt survive. I mean the TFT campaign felt like I was the last Human army there, ye in WoW the alliance controls most of Lordaeron, except for what the Forsaken controls. Am I missing something or has humanity gained back 3/4 of their continent in 4 years(I think WoW comes 4 years after tft), anyways im puzzled can someone help me out?

Humans have gained nothing. The Forsaken and Scourge control most of Lorderoan, with the Scarlet Crusaders occupying small parts.
The Humans only "officially" control the Purplish Dalaran, Greymane's fortress.
They do, however, seem to have a foothold in the southern part of the continent, but they have next to nothing on what used to be the Kingdom of Lorderoan.

Kooaz, you do realize that they still have the entire kingdom of Azeroth/Stormwind, which was totally untouched by either the Legion or the Scourge? That's hardly a mere "foothold."

While the Kingdom of Lordaeron is plaguelands, I don't think the other countries on the Lordaeron continent are all in the same state. Also the entire continent that Stormwind lays upon is untouched by undead influence.

He was referring to Lorderan Dragon, NOT Azeroth.
I think the other kingdoms are not that well off, With the exception of Azeroth.

So Greymane still holds the ground on his own...

Since the Second War, Gilneas has always have had an army that rivals Lordaeron's, so with their excellent position and powerful army that has not been bothered by Orcs years ago or the Scourge recently, and with Genn as their ruler, I doubt Gilneas would be in any trouble at all. Sure, they may be threatened, but they aren't on the edge of the dagger.

The Scourge/Legion never attacked Gilneas, Kul Tiras, and the entire Azerothian continent, which is why civlization their is basically intact.
The situation in Southern Lordaeron has shifted in favor of the humans due to that fact the Dreadlords ran the Scourge to the ground, enabling Garithos to retake much of the south.

Ummm isnt garithos dead? I think Varimathras killed him pretty well in the TFT campaign.

Prior to the events of the Frozen Throne undead campaign Grand Marshall Garithos, with what appears to be a greater capability to command than a Dreadlord, was able to push the undead back, reclaiming some ground for Humanity. Dalaran, for instance, was won back by Garithos. A bigoted, but otherwise capable and possibly even commendable leader.

No doubt Garithos was definitely a powerful general. Not only did he retake Dalaran, a huge victory as the Scourge had completely sieged it, but it seems that the defenses he began to build eventually held, as in WoW Dalaran is still a human land.

No, he is, as far as we know, permanently slain. All of those events I mentioned happened, like I said at the beginning, before the events of Frozen Throne. Garithos set the stage for other human commanders to take back their lands from the undead.
