Hi to all!
I'm an italian player and today I bought the Frozen Throne expansion set and decided to install it. I was right in the middle of the undead campaign and after the installation a strange thing occurred: if I reload a saved game all my units in the game couldn't use their special powers or spells.
So I decided to restart the current mission and all returned normal, except one thing: Arthas (Death Knight 5° level with approximately 990 hp and 500 mana) became a hero with 1950 hp and 1000 mana.
Is that normal or this is a problem belonging to the installation of the expansion set?
What is the correct way to install expansions or patches in Warcraft 3?
Thanx

I think the fifth mission. The one after you've destroyed the second portal to Quel'Thalas

I guess I would have to suggest uninstalling/reinstalling both RoC and FT, I had a similar problem where I was playing RoC and FT came out that day..I went to the store and bought FT and came back home I still had RoC running so I exited it and tried to install FT when it was finished unit data was WAY, WAY screwed up. I have a replay of it but its outdated. I should have taken Screenshots.

I reinstalled the game , the expansion and also the patch 1.17.
I removed all my save game files keeping only campaigns.w3p and campaigns.w3v but nothing changed.
When I restart a mission my hero got the hp and mana doubled.
I tried also to play a random mission of the human campaign and also in this case the problem occurred.
I played the first mission of the human campaign and then reached the second mission. Doing this the hero stat became correct, but only for that mission. If I try to play the third mission the problem re-appears.
I guess I have to restart form the beginning all the game but sincerely I don't want to do this. Any idea?

Hmmmmm..... Is the campaign that important? Do you have a friend where you can play the campaign at his house, while you play skirmishes/online at yours? I don't know... could be useful with crazy heroes on B-Net.

have you got the latest patch? if not then get that, if you do then check out the blizard site (I think it should have made a link in your start menuto their support site which is pretty good)

Oh well, I think I'll continue the campaign with the "upgraded" hero. I can't do anything so i'll keep him :P

ROFL!
Bologna is a town! You were referring to "Bolognese"

Over here there is a type of meat, formed by recycled meat(I think) called balogna. It is very popular in children's sandwiches, and has an expression along with it: "Balogna!" meaning "Nonsense!"
Anywho, sorry for the mix-up. I learned something today! :y-idea:
