Okay, this has been gone for entirely too long. I propose a meeting upon the morrow (Tuesday), at the usual time and place (Northrend server, channel Zul, 8:00 PM GMT), for a round of RPGs and Candy Wars.

My computer is way past its prime (I'm surprised that it even lasted this long), and I can't play warcraft properly anymore, or any semi-recent game for that matter. Unless I'll build myself a new computer anytime soon you'll have to play without me.

I've tried it all, but the problem seems to be the hardware which is quite old anyway. I probably won't bother fixing it anyway, since I'm planning on building a new computer when I'm in university. I might join you in the future if I ever get this thing to work, but right now you'll have to do without me.

Right then. I'm going to take this oppertunity to resign my triggering duties for the RPG map. I really haven't got the time, or more importantly, the motivation to start, let alone complete, all the necessary triggering; there's far more than I thought and it gives me headache. I will try to find someone to do it, at least finish the basicis. But for now, all I have to offer is a custom version of Warchasers that boasts four of the SPF heros... at least this is playable.

The RPG will be polished up and posted with the final terrain, object data and trigger basics tomorrow night. I've not abandoned it, but I am stepping right back.

I'd love to join you guys tomorrow, especially as I now have a 1mb connection, but I'm working a late. Some other time this week?

I can trigger but not as well as the others in the clan I'm in. I don't like doing triggers but I can offer a little help eg monster generators like in warchasers, but done differently lol....the item thing....errrrrr I dunno how to do that with 1 trigger.....always try to get things nailed in the least amout of triggers for effeciency but in this case its a learning process for yas so its no pressure. I make up for triggering with my uber terraining skills though :lol:

It really aint a big job; just some custom creep spawn trigges and a gate/region trigger here or there. Just to make it plyable. I've just vever done spawning triggers, and I'm not really sure where to start.

Most would be similar to Warchasers, one or two more novel ones. But it's not finalize and I'm open to suggestions. If you are willing to lend an hour or two of your gifted time, perhaps put your unique sramp on this map, I'd certainly be most grateful!

Well, seeing as I know nothing about Triggers (though I am somewhat less intimidated by them than terrain...), KCG is not only in my boat but leaving for boot camp, Disko (our other most experienced mapper) is busy with projects of his own, and Kalos has never participated for some reason or another, this is rather unfortunate.

I'll post a call for new mappers in the RPG thread itself. If no others come forth, I suppose I could take an amateurish whack at it...

EDIT: Almost forgot. Pretty much any other day this week would work; how about Wednesday and/or Friday?
I realised something after trying to trigger up several maps. I constantly need help, worked slow, missed my own deadlines, and ended up with the whole thing not working well at all. I don't think that something far, far bigger would work well at all for anyone if I was let near the map...

Indeed, but after so many creeps were spawned by a particular building it didn't make anymore. The limit was around 5-6 a building.

I'm not honestly sure. Several members such as myself have had RL commitments getting in the way. That and WoW seems to have ended this, it's split us up because some people can already get it, and some of us won't be able to for many months. Why Blizzard? Why can you not have just a week or two difference? It's made us split up simply by nationality.

Yeah WoW relly split things up, most of the mapping clans on bnet are like.....dead, even clan map has been unsulualy dead and before that chanel was crazy. With WoW here I dunno if that SPF RPG will get done eather :y-candle:

Hmmmmmm. I tried to play Warchasers with some peeps on B.net after the Open Beta and found it quite impossible. I think I've firmly fixed my brain into WoW mode... I may have even forgotten how to play WCIII!!!!

But I'm actually working a Late on wednesday, so I wont be home 'till around 21;00 at the very earliest, probably more like 23:30. So I doubt I can make wednesday...

One more time...

How about a game on Monday or Tuesday? We can try out that new racing map, and I just got the newest, OFFICIAL version of Tides of Blood (an open beta for the real version N, but better than nothing). Anyone up for it?
