In the internet connection firewall you also have to tell it the program that will by bypassing it, warcraft III. That should do the trick. Either that or you messed up the port forwarding on the router.

Find the exceptions tab in the firewall and hit 'add program'. Select warcraft III. The exceptions tab is on the main firewall settings, located in control panel. If this doesn't work then you've either got another firewall going that's blocking it, or your router has been mis-programmed. It is possible that you told it to open the port, but not to which computer. My port 6112 is always forwarded to one computer, no other can use that port while this setting is on. To switch it off means to lose the ability to host.

Open up the control panel. Click the icon named Windows Firewall. The connections tab must then be selescted. Pressed the button add program. Scroll down to find Warcraft III, double click. Make sure that the box next to the new name warcraft III is check, then press ok. Done.

What? That's not right. This was added two months ago with service pack 2 from Microsoft. You did update your security right? If not I would suggest you do so quickly, and invest in a virus scanner. Without those patches for so long you'll be full of viruses.

Ouch. Remember the updates are free, and the majority are small and quick. I made this mistake when I'm younger, and I paid the price. Hacker got me, and shot my pentium two to hell. The computer was destroyed, lost all my data. Now I make sure to keep my systems, all of them, up to date and never trust the router alone to push all the attackers away.

If nothing else, it'll allow you to control the firewall, rather than it's blanket ban. Without updating you would have to shut off your firewall completely.
