Just watched The Crow for the first time (please don't hate me Marcus). Seemed pretty good, save for the clique ending. What do you guys think, and are the sequals (City of Angels, Stairway to Heaven & Salvation) as bad as I hear?

It's okay, I forgive you. I loved the movie, despite some pretty cliche moments. I didn't like the second one, City of Angels, but I loved the third one, Salvation, because it was nice and brutal. None of this "finding love and being a fighter of evil" bullcrap. The guy is younger than before and basically has a "I've got these nifty new powers, so let's use them to beat the crap out of people I don't like!" attitude, which I imagine I would have in his situation too.
I don't know Stairway to Heaven though. Is that a movie or is that the name of the series? I haven't seen any episodes of the series, but it looks a bit like it would be one of those lame Dark Angel/Angel series. It might be good though, I just haven't bothered to find out.

I'm not sure. I saw them in the video store, and I watched the first one last night and finished it this morning. I also hired City of Angels. I might get Salvation, since you recommend (sp?) it.

Its the movie where Brue Lee's son (forgot his name) was killed making the film.

Yea. Real freaky O.O

Any ways, I loved the first one, truly a great film. I did get sad/angry in certain parts (**** = the worst thing in the world) but the sequels were kinda...crap. >.<

yeah, in my mind, the "sequels" are not worthy of the title.

The Crow is among my faviorite films out there.

EDIT: his name apparently was Brandon Lee (http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0000488/). Read in the link for info on his death.

The original is best in terms of emotional bits. I agree that **** (dammit, it's the r-word, don't censor me, fascist forum! :g tongue:) is the worst thing that could happen to a woman, and the thought of it happening to a loved one is indescribable. So in the movie I can really feel Eric's pain and anger towards the rapists.
The second movie tried to create a similar feel but I thought it tried to hard and ended up looking lame and like a rehash of the first one.
The third didn't really try too hard with any of that stuff though, which is why I like it. It's just a big dumb action movie with really cool atmosphere.

Amazing movie, my second favourite of all time (the first, naturally, being Donnie Darko)
