When i read the tittle my first impresion was "damn they already charge for battlenet, this guy is getting so baned"
maybe to give a mistery feel to the game

It's meant to stop people from teaming up with their friends.

I never thought of it that way. Now I know, thanks.

Yeh, now all they need is a Laggers Anonymous system to stop everyone from ganging up on the laggers. :P

So what B.net named these anonymous players for the sake of chatting?

because in the old system it was really stupid cause everyone would go "OMG LOOK IT'S THAT HIGH LEVEL PLAYER, LET'S ALL GANG UP ON HIM" which isn't exactly fair is it? people would team purely on the fact that there is a high level palyer or a recognizable player- names like marn, x[hunters], inferno_rice/invincible_rice/hope_rice, and many others were commonly known.
what blizz also needs to do now is ocmpletely remove private chat. regular chat is okay, manipulation and global information sharing/blabbing is all a part of FFA, but priv is just stupid. they also need to be able to disable using the /whois/whereis and /f list command so you can't add all the high level players on your list and do /whereis to figure out who's in your game.
