Ok well..im sure like alot of folk im really startin to look forward to Halo 2 now and im wondering if i should pre-order it and get the Limited Edition in the Tin and the other cool stuff you get with it, or wait until its released and get the normal version, or get the limited version when its released(or is the limited version only for pre-order, im not sure about that) ... anyways its mostly the price im thinkin about
I mean the Limited Edition is gonna retail here for approx £50 .. and for someone who only gets £85 a fortnight Jobseeker benefits this is a bit of a expensive buy, but do any of you think its worth it!
And just the normal version of Halo 2 is Gonna Retail for about £35 ... which it might not seem much to you's but I try and keep my finances in order and work out what I can and cant afford! So that extra £15 would be very helpful, it gets added to the rest of my booze money lol!
Anyways do you think i should just settle for the regular version or should I just go for it and get the Limited Edition...coz it does seem quite cool.

if you are asking yourself this question, then its probably better that you buy the normal edition
Instead I know that I must have that limited edition
No.
And this is to appease the minimum post length.

At this close to release, I'm not sure if you can preorder Limited Edition still. That's in the USA, at least.
I preordered mine January 25 of this year

Yes, pre-order it. I'd say go with the regular version if your money is tight, unless you're a big fan and the little extras sound too appealing to give up.

My friend has the french version, and I played it. VERY pwnage indeed. Much better than #1. However, I'd rather put my $$$ into BloodRayne 2, I actually liked that alot more than Halo 2 O.O
Otherwise just get it on the PC for the bonuses + multiplayer.

In theory, your friend could be sued for as much as $100,000. I assume you've heard of the Halo 2 leak, yes? I'll go ahead and continue to assume that this is a pirated copy of the game.

Thanks for that little tidbit of information.
I apparently have NO IDEA what a pirated copy looks like, thanks for filling me in. I had NO IDEA you could be sued for piracy! MY GOODNESS! O.O
Go rant your self-righteous anti-pirating crap someplace else. He wanted an early addition of the game, so he want to his uncle who works in the dialogue/translation division of th eplant and got an early, untranslated version. Paid full price.
Dont assume, it makes an ass out of you and me.

Who cares, Half-Life 2 has been released in Belarus/Russia/Ukraine, etc like 1 year ago, the problem is you get stuck in floors and its not finished.

Er, don't boast about how you play pirated games on a very anti-pirate site. Simple? I don't think you're a mod anymore, so watch your attitude.
Now, who did he buy it from? His uncle? You're no different from anyone who comes here begging for a cd key.

Explain to me, oh with you're great logic, how I am like a pirater. How do you know I pirate? How do you know I have any involvement? The subject was brought up: my friend has an official french copy of the game because his uncle gets them early. He bought it. I played it. I'm giving my insight into whether or not he should get it.
Plain and simple.
What does me being a Mod or not matter? Am I going to get banned? It doesnt matter, as it's irrelevant to the subject. The rules are simple: Dont promote or link to pirating. I'm doing neither.
The fact is this: The man wants to know if he should Pre-order Halo 2. I have superior knowledge on the topic being as I've played it. I gave him my insight.
It's great that your a noble zealot for anti-piracy and for the rules of the forum; thats at no doubt. But people, you need to loosen the hell up and get some selective thinking here. I dont know you, you dont know me. Lets get that straight. Dont assume.

DE doesn't pirate. As far as I know him, that's not his style.
He paid full price for it, therefore he has complete and undisputed ownership of that product. I know many people who have family that can get them dvanced copies of whatever, but DE was lucky enough to have a certain uncle who could get im a french copy of Halo 2.
@DE: This time I'm standing up for the big guy.

Nono, my friend Alfonso's uncle works at the distribution/translation plant and got him an early copy as long as Alfy could pay for it.
It's not MY uncle, i'm not so lucky as to have a goddamn uncle that can hook me up @.@

lol ill probably just get the reg version! only ive got a question, the thing 'Before Halo' is this sort of like a mini game of what happend before Halo ... or is it just a thing that runs through telling you what happend? im just askin coz i know that the special editions of Half Life 2 comes with a remake of the original Half Life in the 2nd's engine, which i think is quite cool! So i thought maybe bungie sorta tried the same thing, cept itll b a before Halo thing.

Yeah, even if you're the slightest bit interested in Halo 2, I'd say get it. I've got the collector's edition reserved. My brother gave it to me as my christmas present last year. So WOOT! I absolutley LOVE the case that it comes in... so freakin cool. All metal and silvery with the blue Halo 2 logo on it. I CAN'T WAIT! I bought a year of xbox live in preparation for my Halo 2 all nighters!
