Lets discuss those great ambitous sages, such as Mannoroth and his supposed race of Orcs. Simulate Mannoroth and Cenarius squaring off.
I can imagine the burly beast cleaving into the arrogant heart of the other Demi - God.
And Archimonde and his earlier campaigns. I know precious little so I'm reaching out to the wizened folk at TUWF.
You mixed up the forums didn't you?

There is a reason Mannoroth didn't go fight Cenarius again, cuz he knew he'd get his giant demon ass handed to him by one of Cenarius' Treants.

If one Orc can bring Manoroth down with one axe-hit, why couldn't a Demi-God pwn his ass?

I dunno, my guess is that Grom did an Illidan, in a matter of speaking. Used the demonic power that Mannaroth gave him to destroy him. True, Jaina performed the ritual on him, but that obviously proved to be an over-the-counter: cured the symptoms. Mannaroth himself said that Grom was still bonded to him. I think that's what truly killed Grom. The demonic control had linked itself to his life, and by ridding it from himself, he disconnected his soul.

Well Cenarius was killed by Grom too but that was cuz he was supercharged with demon juice. When he fought Mannoroth though he was normal.
Heroes of the Burning Legion would be Pit Lord, Dreadlord, Corrupted Demon Hunter, Some satyr hero or Warlock.

Grom not only drank the demon blood but also the energy of the moon well. As a result he posseses the power of the Demon and the Night elves. thats how I see him can kill both Cenarius and Manoroth.

Energy? Of a moonwell? Did I miss something? In my experience, Grom never inherits any moonwell powers...

I think ER is trying to say that because Mannoroth defiled a moonwell Grom got a boost from the moonwell and a boost from Mannoroths blood

Uh, well...that WASN'T a moonwell that Mannaroth corrupted. It was a fountain. Big difference, no Night elf connections, so there was no Nelf power absorbed.

Correct, no moonwells were harmed in the making of Fel Grom.

Mannoroth's weapon really let him down, poor industry in hell.
The Demon was so used to enemies cowering in terror he was truly startled when Grom did his suicidal charge. The Fat bastard should invest more in quality weapons.
After all, Grom could wind walk. What was his strength status anyway?
Surely it was greater than an ordinary BladeMaster.
Grom was one of those men who fell outside the laws of life, thats why life took him down.

I may not be entirely correct. But that "Well of energy" or Fountain is undeniably a source of power, and is found in Ashenvale forest(correct me if am wrong). Therefore it would be in the Night elf's possession. Wouldnt it?

Epand on your posts.... man.....
Whats up with Sargeras' tomb?
Is he alive or dead? How did his huge carcass make it to the funeral anyhow, or is it symbollic?
Wasn't there a Pitlord in that level that left behind a meaty corpse?
Mark Romaneck
22-10-04, 02:11 PM
yes he was level 7 or something but was rather weak
Anyhow the Leguion has no heroes, only villians.
And we dont know many of them so why do we insist
Other question, what happened to Mephistrot (the blue DreadLord that was with Tychondrius and ...Anederoth or something like that)
I always tought he would appear in the Expansion

They may not have been heroic, but they were brilliant figures in the eyes of their minions. And since I'm one I blindly see some of them as heroes in the ill- conceived quest that is snuffing out all other life supported by the Titans.
Those Dreadlords should never have been done away with, although I think you fight them in the final level of ROC.

You fight Anetheroth (the orange guy) on the fight for the World Tree

If it were truly in the Night Elves' power, then Mannaroth wouldn't have corrupted it so easily, then, would he? Especially with Cenarius running around...the only thing guarding it were a bunch of moronic furbolgs, which weren't really guarding it, just loafing around.

Forget all power boosts and the such. Lets just say that Grom's amazing combat skills won both days. Both demi-gods died embarassing deaths by Grom the Destructor. What a way to die.Idiots.

But without the power boosts, Grom would've been slain at the hand of Cenarius, which in turn would leave Mannoroth alive. Mannoroth then would've aided in the assault on the World Tree, which could have changed the outcome of the battle.
And the correct names of the dreadlords Mark is speaking of are 'Anetheron' and 'Mephistroth'. (Slight mispellings- I'm picky, I know)

Okay, so the power boost was necessary for Cenarius' downfall but I still think Mannoroth's death was due to Grom's skills. He just threw his weight effectively at a vulnerable spot and rammed his weapon home, maybe splintering the heart, if demons have them. Maybe lordshadowbane knows.
Probably, because Mannoroth seems to understand whats burning in Grom's heart.
Mannoroth's fire content does not mean he has no organs. Perhaps he drowns hapless opponents in crap or wee.

in that case, none of my oppenents should be able to get heroes because i am invariably on the side of good

Yes demons have hearts. Altho they do not function as normal ppl do. They dont have a "consience" but it was a vital organ. When he hit him. All of Mannoroths unstable power took Grom down with him. Like how when Archimonde exploded he hurt the World Tree badly with his unstable energy.

also
Demon blood has a high concentration of flamable substance. Thats why demons usually engulf in flame. Wherever it goes, its burns the surrounding and so left a trail of ash for LSB to follow...
and demon-sh*t is very similar to bull-sh*t. :g laugh:

like this:
"With disconcerting ease, Aegwynn battered the demonlord with her powers and succeeded in killing his physical shell. Fearing that Sargeras' spirit would linger on, the naïve Aegwynn locked the ruined husk of his body within one of the ancient halls of Kalimdor that had been blasted to the bottom of the sea when the Well of Eternity collapsed"
