Imagine that someone else has said that exact thing to you, and that person is someone who you really care about and want to be happy. What would you say to them?

We exist for self fulfillment. That is what seperates us from the animals... (eyes strangely at SO) Animals live only to eat and reproduce. We have a specific need to feel good. Some people go to church to feel good. You want to go into air force and protect your country. Whatever reason you may think you have for it, underneath everything you want to do that to feel good. I want to become a writer so that people will be able to see the epics swirling throughout my head. In doing this, I will earn my living- I'll feel good about enlightening people and being able to do my favorite thing. There is absolutely no way to tell if there is any existance after this one- whether if we come to the form of another life form, if we may go into Heaven or Hell or Nirvana, or if we might just rot in the ground so that life will be able to continue. So, with this large uncertainty at hand, why gamble and just end your one chance at happiness?

and so is saddness

in some cases your attitude can be a direct cause of people around you but in most cases it rest on you weather or not you like life. I currently love life and was also on the other end of the "I want to die" spectrum.

As far as that goes if you have a bad attitude bad things tend to follow around, if only by the virtue that those are the things you will remember (do to the way your brain is hardwired)
