Recently I found some very good books of this great author.

His short tales are TERRIFING, much more terrifing than Poe's novels, Ive never red anything more crazy and scary than that.

I was expecially striked by the tale "The Call of Cthulhu".
Its teories can bring a man to madness, the simple idea that it could contain even a particle of truth, makes my blood freeze.

Take a look at this "Bestiary:
( my favorite has to be Shub-Niggurath, horror incarnated)

Plus, I remember when I was a child I had often a dream...
I dreamt of something exceptionally BIG, so big that the mere sight was oppressive, I could never say what really was that thing. I even spoke about it to my parents, but they said there was nothing to worry about. In fact the nightamares disappeared and I totally forgot about them.
Until I red that book... in which I found the EXACT description of it :y-hot:
It said it was an Old God tring to make contact with me.
Im getting totally crazy :g laugh:

I know that this event is just a mere coincidence... but it still makes me feel unconfortable...

I liked his short stories until I read like a dozen of them. Then it dawned on me that they're all the same. Seriously :
-mystery phenomenon (usually disappearance)
-investigation by main character
-main character somehow encounters books, among which the Necronomicon and others, always the bloody same
-encounter with big bad monster which is best described as "indescribable"
-main character mysteriously disappears
I got tired of it.

Ive read about a dozen too, but I found them really different...

Just for example, "In the Crypt" doesnt follow that pattern at all... as well as the "Pickman's model" (Short story about Ghouls)

Interesting, I guess.

It seems Giygas of Mother 2 was inspired by Azathoth. Great cosmic destroyer that somehow ended up with no mind.

Lovecraft sure likes his tentacles :y-mm:

read it from the beggining, if you are familiar with all the mythos creatures you will find this comic quite funny

Lovecraft was an insane person, but then again, in order to be a Genius you must be Insane
Lovecraft is my favorite Writer, the fact of him being silenced by the mythos, puts me to grieve, to think that one of this days ill read ALL of his books, saddens me the most, to think that this great autor will never write again, and one day I will not be able to consume new mythos knowledge
