Lots of ppl only devote themselves to causes once they become affected, or their family/friends.
But we praise them, because the majority of victims sit back and cry about it.
So can we say that Nelson Mandela wasnt really great, cuz he was black and fighting for his own rights anyways?
I guess there's a difference there cuz he went to jail and stuff, while what we're complaining about is a celebrity gets all the attention because of their already obtained celebrity.

Agreed. I may not have liked Ronald Reagan or his policies, but I was still respectful.
I was at last year's high school graduation and there was a moment of silence for him, when some woman's cell phone went off.
Strike one. I thought, maybe she just forgot. Just turn it off. No. SHE ANSWERED IT! Strike two. And no, she didn't say, "Sorry, I can't talk now." She started. gossiping. Strike three. By that point, I was seething, and I wanted to go her and slug her, although apparently, she already was taking a lot of flak from people around her, so I didn't go join it.
That said, every death except those of pedophiles, murderers, and other bad people (I won't define that now) is a tragedy. Life is a wonderful.
