Here's the rundown. PR is a mod of SC:BW that will run on the TFT engine. It will not cost any money and it will be exactly the same as SC:BW, down to the armor system, attack types, add-ons, shields, everything. You will be required to have the SC and SC:BW cds to install the game (for soundfiles) and you will need the latest version of WC3:TFT to run it. There will be no single player campaign.

So far many unit models have been completed, such as the marine, scv, wraith, battlecruiser, infested terran, devourerer, overlord, hydralisk, ultralisk, infested terran, zealot, scout, carrier and dark templar. Also many building models have been done such as the hatchery, pylon, gateway, nexus, command center and factory.

All these models can be seen at the gallery:

In addition the mod will have its own campaign editor, and a program that can convert old SC maps to PR maps- amazing, huh?

I personally do not believe PR will be shut down by Blizzard due to the fact that it is free, does not deviate at all from the plot or change the game, and requires four of their games to play.

If you want to join the team, post your work at their fan creations forums

The problem with these sorts of things is that the modders get in way over their heads; they realize that they don't have an infinite amount of free time, and that they'd rather spend their energy doing something that generates an income, so they can have money to upgrade their computers and buy newer games.

Lol, it's still not finished, nearly 4 years later.

actually, the problem is that modders tend to group in teams, where they all want to do the fun stuff, and the schmuck who gets stuck with the boring bits procrastinates doing it, holding up the project indefinately and thus becomming the scapegoat for the entire group.

thats why I did my stuff solo :y-sunny:

I never played past the first level, but the first level was pretty cool.
