Voyager+DS9 are infinitely smarter, deeper and more mature then any starwars. Unfortunately, the old startrek wasn't so great, and the newest startrek is pretty aweful, almost as bad as the new star wars.

Well, every series has it's ups and downs.

ENT, yeah, pretty much sucks. However, the third season is to seasons 1 and 2 what holy water is to pee.
I mean, watch "Twilight", or "Similitude", or "Zero Hour". They're gems among dung. Marvelous. It's just that B&B managed to **** off viewers with the earlier seasons.

Voyager, while being mature, sucked mostly. However, it too had some very good episodes. "Year of Hell" and "Message In a Bottle" come to mind. And others.

I am a fan of both, and I like them equally. Star Wars movies > Star Trek movies. Star Trek > any other series. I am a fan of Voyager and DS9. Intrepid Class is my favoite Sci Fi ship class ever.

They've both got their pluses and minuses. I like them both.

One thing of note though, anyone else ever notice that starfleet personal just flat SUCK at hand to hand combat? Even Warf, supposedly a great warrior blah blah blah, requires the aid of no less than three other people to stop one intruder.

On the other hand, stormtroopers can't hit the broad side of a barn.

First 15 minutes of episode: Hear story about an evil imperialistic warlike alien race.

15-30 minutes: Meet an alien race who are seemingly peaceful and friendly but coincidentaly look exactly like this evil imperialistic warlike alien race. Their home planet has no weapons except for a small island that cannot be scanned from outer space.

30-45 minutes: Entire crew goes down to alien planet. Some nameless guest star such as lieutenant whatshisnuts or ambassador fromfarawayworld decides to investigate the island and goes missing

45-end: With the help a rebel alien faction who desires peace and political freedoms they crew rescues the faceless jobber and the ship moves on to find another alien race.


Except for the DS9 series in which the aliens come to the space station but some strange reason part of their ship cannot be scanned so they are invited aboard.

Star Wars are the greatest movies ever created. Star Trek is some stupid show that became popular 30 years ago because it had a black lady and a russian guy and promoted peace and tolerance and rainbows and LSD and other hippie values and has been riding this wave ever since.

In closing, Billy D Williams is the greatest actor of all time. He ranks a solid number 2 on the best ppl of all time above Churchill and just a shade below Jesus.

startrek used to be kick ass when it was about killing all the communists. things changed though, and it because a story about left wing dogooders.

As far as I'm concerned, the actual Star Wars universe is much more interesting than that of Star Trek. Individual movies, episodes, or characters aside, I think the world of Star Wars is more complex, exciting, and generally more badass. There are cities floating in clouds, people!

The special effect in the original Starwars were far better than anything at the time, while you can see wires holding up the Enterprise whenever it goes by. It wasnt so much for plot that people went back Five times to see Episode IV: A new Hope. It was for the action and Special effects. However, now that everyone is on equal footing for SE people noticed the crappy plot in episodes 1 and to. That, andcuz Hayden Christiansen is a whiny bltch who cant act.
