My mothers youngest sister recently gave birth to a young boy. This is her first child. She had to go through painful surgery to make sure the baby would come out safe. She put herself at risk to make sure the child was safe. I hope she recovers and may Allah guide her son's path. Oh yes, do you guys know baby names.

The name need not be arab, for I AM NOT ARAB!!! Sure my father is named Mohammad, and my grand father was Noor. But one of my other cousins is named Duke, an uncle named Tipu, an aunt named Nilu, a cousin named Rosi, a cousin named Omi, a niece named Mithila. Not all muslims have arab names. I myself have thought of Napolean for the child's name.

Baby names eh? The thing about baby names is that they need to be adult names too.
With that said I suggest the name Ignatius.

How about a Native American name something llike Proud Bear.
Or maybe a less tribal name. Something like Isidor.
Hey, congratulations! I recently became an uncle myself. A new baby in the family does make for an exciting time.
Hmmm.... I don't know what to tell you for a name though. To tell you the truth, I'm so terrible with names I'd probably end up following Arnold's baby name idea in one of his movies. "If its a boy, Junior. If its a girl......Junior."
My advice is watch out for acronyms. The last thing a kid wants is a name that nets him an unpleasent nickname.

Hmm. It seems I had an idea but I forgot it while writing this post. I'll just go back to lurking.
EDIT: I just though of some names I seen in a book I read. How about Grey or Dor or... thats all I got.

Here is another site
http://www.behindthename.com/nm/d.html#daniel
My name means, "God is my Judge"
This site explains the meanings of names, which is always a cool thing to know
My brother's name means "bearing Christ" my other brother name means "flower" which is really funny since he is a football player. And my last brother's name means Tattoo..... that one surprised me

Cool site, Nio. My name was there. It means Son of Conniceach(sp). Conniceach is an Irish name meaning handsome. My parents told me it meant son of the great leader. Close enough. It's Gaelic too. I knew that.

Alex is the short form of both Alexandra and Alexander...
And I never said my name was Alex...
Though it was considered when I was named... :y-wink2:
Cause my grandfather is named Aleksander.
So, I'm not female.

Just because Earth's top brass scientists aren't able to figure out your gender doesn't mean it's the same with other people.

To CTM: The child's name is undecided
Name her Shaniqua.
Slay, I may be Bengladeshi, but we get WWE smackdown here as well, though our episodes are two weeks older than yours. In fact, I am devoted wrestling fan. I myself practice freestyle wrestling and know a bit of submission. I have seen Shaniqua on tv as well as my family, and I doubt my aunt would want her SON to be named after a six foot female who beats men with a whip.
