The moon hovered over the silent waves of the ocean as the black vessel floated by. The air echoed with the whispers of winds and not even a gull chirped. The great ship loomed under heaven's canopy of starlight, simply drifting through endless blue. I have been searching for the vessel for a few months. My prey is on board and his scent drives me insane. I am Morgan, the dreadlady. I am the daughter of Tichondrius, and my search is almost done.
I have come for the human who dared turn down my heart and rejected me for a fat sow. My cloak and wings cover me as I land gentle as a mouse. There is now one upon the deck, but him. He was Vincent Vincenzo Alexander Strombolli the III. He is at the helm dressed in simple trousers and everyday clothing. He was lanky and his black hair slightly shimmered. His dark brown eyes see me for a moment, but then turn back to the sea. He knows I am here, but he does not care. He acts as though I do not even matter.
"So do you finally accept my offer?" I ask hungrily. I wanted him to feed my hunger for lust. He stared at me and snorted. He dared defy me twice. I remembered when he was a boy and would fall into my lust so easily. Now he did not even care.
"I told you before, and I shall tell you a thousand times. I will not betray my wife nor shall I betray my son." He averted his eyes back to the sea and continued to speak, "You were merely a mistake I made in my past. You care nothing of me and I believed that your heart held love. I am not running anymore. You only hunt me out of jealousy"
"You chose a fat sow over me. I have the right to scorn." I answered.
"She may not have your physique, but she is honest. That is more than I can say for you demon. She is the mother of my child and I will protect them both. So I give this warning to leave us be or you shall suffer." Strombolli said in his quiet voice. I was a little impressed.
"You threaten me mortal. Well then I will not have my pets talking back. Do you wish to have one last time before you die?" I ask.
"I will not betray my wife." Strombolli answered.
"Then it is done." I move up to him and sink my fangs into his neck. He does not even struggle as I suck him of life. As his heart beats its final bump, I search for the sow and child. My limbs stop moving and I collapse on the deck. I am confused and then I see it. A vial in Strombolli's hand, with the words poison written upon it. Vincent Vincenzo Alexander Strombolli the III had drunk it before I had come aboard. I could see his dead face smiling as I died beside him.
